Campbell was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame the following year. In 2019, he was named to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Nelson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1993. He turned 90 years old in April and released his 74th solo album a couple of weeks ago.
