Arthur Sarnoff (1912-2000), a notable artist of Jewish descent, pays tribute to his Protestant counterparts in a way that’s almost unthinkable in today’s world. In fact many of his works — Boy and Girl by Church and Mother and Daughter in Garden, just to name a couple — are highly reminiscent of murals by Norman Rockwell and Joseph Christian Leyendecker.
