Nearly a half-century (and still epic)

Released on March 1, 1973, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon reached #1 on the Billboard album chart on this day in 1973. Though it spent just one week atop the chart, the album would remain in the Billboard Top 200 for a record 724 consecutive weeks (nearly 14 years).

It also returned to the charts sporadically over the years, amassing more than 200 additional weeks en route to sales of at least 45 million worldwide.
