The potential Musk takeover has 2016 vibes, and we all know how that ultimately turned out. But at least for the moment, as millions bask in the glow of the duplicitous pearl-clutching outrage of an ideological entente hell-bent on wrecking everything it touches (while owning up to none of it), we can take solace that someone who sits high in a position of authority and influence stepped in and said, at long last, enough is enough.
