Akin to Solzhenitsyn

On August 23, 1989 about two million people from Latvia πŸ‡±πŸ‡», Estonia πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ͺ and Lithuania πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ή formed a human chain that united all three countries to show the world their desire to escape the Soviet Union.

It was neither the first nor the last demonstration against the communist regime. The Soviet Union would be dissolved two years later.
