Born in Chicago and raised in Memphis, a rapper known as Young Dolph was gunned down yesterday while leaving Makeda’s Homemade Cookies in the Whitehaven neighborhood where Dolph is said to have purchased a number of turkeys he had intended to give to impoverished families for Thanksgiving next week.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown. He was 36 years old.
