My past flirtation with libertarianism was predicated upon the burnout of being identified with either of the two main parties and the baggage that goes with each, but over time it became evident that claiming the libertarian label as an ideological safe house was akin to a certain coyness that is no longer an option when facing the tenuous times in which we are now living.
