Bashing America — a country so opulent and robust that even the malcontents who hate it refuse to leave — has become the caustic norm, so please understand…

Any “privilege” or “supremacy” I enjoy is thanks entirely to those who laid the foundation on which every one of us now stand: a Christian culture descended predominantly from Europe with an aptitude for erecting nations and empires second to none in the history of human civilization — and ours, in particular, a dominion so extraordinary that people from lesser lands still risk everything just for a chance to touch its soil.

To this heritage more is owed than I can ever repay, and surrendering any part of that inheritance to placate those who evidently cannot be appeased (regardless of how much has been given) is no longer tenable.

That, perhaps above anything else, and now more than ever, is what today’s all about.
